I am a Korean student studying English in ESL of Vancouver .

I am going to study Japanese in Japan, but I have not decided yet whether I will study in Tokyo or Osaka.

I met a lot of Japanese friends in Vancouver from Kinki District so, I want to study in Osaka but my Korean friends warned me not to study in Osaka because they have strong dialect. Please advise me about this matter

If you want to learn standard Japanese, you better go to Tokyo; otherwise, you will get Osaka accent. but I found it Osaka accent special and attractive. If you understand the difference between standard accent & Osaka accent, it may be more fun to go to Osaka.

koreanのお友達は日本語の文法はkoreanにとっては簡単だから、結構しゃべれる人が多いって言ってたよ。実際日本に5-6年しか住んでないのにパーフェクト！な日本語喋る韓国人っているよ。すごいよね。 　

別に普通にアドバイスしてあげればいいのに・・・１の人みたいに。

I think you’ll learn standard Japanese at school in any area.
So going where people you know live in is better, don’t you think?
There are other things that you might wanna consider so ask at the website called yahooanswers, there are many foreign people in Japan will tell you their opinion, sometimes they give you urls to look at to get more information you need. good luck!

I agree with Res.9. You sure can study standard Japanese at schools in Osaka, even though people living there have their unique accent. Good luck on your study in Japan.

I live in Yokohama now.

I decided to go to Japanese language school

in Yokohama from the next year.
