guess what? my bro and my friend went back to the lake around 5pm after putting me and my family down. i was waiting for them to come back till 7pm but they didnt come back so i requested the police to search for them and the Kaijouhoangun? looked for them but the kaijouhoangun couldnt find them because it was dark outside. the kaijouhoangun started finding them from early morning on and they found my bro and my friend.
i thought they turned over on the lake. but my bro’s boat just ran out of fuel!! i didnt need to worry too much.

After dropping my family and me off around 5p.m., my brother and my friend went back to the lake. I waited for them till 7p.m., but they didn’t cme back. So I called the police to search for them.
The coast guards looked for them but couldn’t find them because it was dark outside. They resumed the search the next morning, and luckily, found my brother and my friend. I had been so worried that their boat sank or something happened to them but they’d just ran out of fuel! I guess I didn’t need to worry that much.

put (someone) downで、殺す・・って意味だと思います。
