Hello once more, K.
I hope you do not mind if I call you by the first letter of your first name. Interestingly, our first names start with the same letter, don't they?
Based on your comments, I believe I may have offended you during our conversations. I sincerely apologize.
I understand. I understand how difficult it can be to write in English. At times, English grammar can be peculiar. The research process can be time-consuming, and paraphrasing is not something that can be learned overnight. It is, however, possible with enough practice.
I might have been too harsh when I told you two things:
"I help my students and clients avoid unintentional plagiarism by proofreading and editing their work. I do not, however, edit deliberate plagiarism because it constitutes academic dishonesty."
"Lastly, I will not shorten your content into point forms. You, as a student, are responsible for this task. "
Please understand that I was simply stating facts. Those statements were never meant to insult you, but they certainly came across as such. I am sorry if what I wrote hurt your feelings.
Whatever you decide, I hope you understand that plagiarism is a serious problem that should not be ignored. If a student is caught plagiarizing another's work, he or she will almost certainly receive a zero or be expelled from school.
Furthermore, K, you have the ability to complete this task. I enjoy your writing style. Your sentences and word choices are precise. You have also spent significant time creating and polishing your PowerPoint presentation. So far, you are doing well. Your English reading and writing will improve over time, and you will feel more at ease and comfortable living in Canada.
Concerning my service, I would like to clarify that it is free editing and proofreading. It works like this: a person can send me a draft of his or her work. I can look over it to ensure grammatical correctness and, if necessary, improve diction. For example, a man asked me to review his 150-word cover letter. I fixed his grammatical errors and used some formal words to make his letter more professional.
Your request was more extensive, asking if we could meet via Zoom or message through WhatsApp to discuss how to shorten and summarize the content of your 33-slide PowerPoint presentation. One of your slides had 238 words, and I showed you an example of how to paraphrase it. Unfortunately, that kind of work necessitates us taking a class together, which I cannot provide for free.
Concerning your decision not to recommend me to your international friends, I respect your decision and will say nothing further. We all have free will, and I sincerely hope you and your friends will find another more capable person to assist you on your study abroad journey.
Still, if you want me to proofread and edit your presentation speech, I will gladly help you, just like what I promised you in our email.
For everyone else who has seen this, I apologize for any potential issue this may have caused. I will understand if the moderator wishes to remove this post.
