Some tips on improving your English
1. Words Are Money Being good in English is like being rich, The more money you have, the richer
you are. Words are the money in English. The more you have, the better your English is. Collect as
many words as you can. Be words hungry. Always learn new words.
2. You're in Canada, Have Canadian Friends This is your best opportunity to have friends who are
natural English speakers. It's rather silly to go to Canada to have friends from other countries but not Canadians. You'll learn more from a Canadian
friend than from your school, esl friends and grammar books combined.
3. You Need Culture You can't separate English from English culture. If you're learning English only from school or other English learners, you're
missing the richness of the language. You need to experience Canadian or American culture. What you do after school or on the weekends, who you
spend your time with, and what language you speak, all shape the kind of English you will keep for a long time
