↑この顔はまじこわいな。
Wherever ”Kayla Bourque” sets up in the city, most residents will want to know about it.
The former Simon Fraser University criminology student is 23(才) with dark hair and dark eyes and reportedly got excellent grades. (賢いの?)
Provincial Court judge Malcolm MacLean, however, used such words as
“psychopathic,”
“narcissist”
“sexual sadist”
to describe her when she was convicted of torturing and killing animals.
She also once bragged(←これどういう意味すか?) she wanted to do the same to a homeless person.
Now she’s living somewhere in Vancouver.(こえ〜〜〜〜〜っ!)
On Monday, B.C. Corrections released Bourque from Alouette Correctional Centre for Women, but policy prevents the agency from revealing her location, even though she’s deemed a high risk to re-offend due to an “escalating criminal history.”(←法が犯罪者をかばってるってことか?)
The Romanian orphan, who grew up in Prince George, was convicted of causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to animals, willfully and without lawful excuse killing animals and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.(ローマの孤児かルーマニアの孤児らしいな。)
Her case sparked the creation of a Facebook page and an online petition called “Keep psychopathic animal killer Kayla Bourque locked up!” Both went viral after it became clear Bourque would be released this year.
“Is it really fair after what she did and the thoughts she has to let her out?” posted Amber Klein.
Bourque received an eight-month sentence. Guidelines prevented a longer sentence and since she isn’t psychotic she can’t be detained under the Mental Health Act.(何故精神病院に入れておけないんだ?)
The Vancouver Police Department’s high-risk offenders unit will closely monitor her. While he couldn’t divulge unit tactics, Sgt. Randy Fincham said, “We may go to lengths above and beyond the ordinary”(←意味わからん・・・) to ensure Bourque abides by her conditions.
She must also follow 46 court-ordered conditions, including psychological counselling and zero contact with animals or people under the age of 18. She’s also forbidden from having personal relationships until the other person is informed of her criminal record in writing.
Vancouver psychologist Dr. Joti Samra said successful counselling will be difficult due to Bourque’s reported lack of remorse. (カウンセリング受けても治らないといってるのか?)
But she added Bourque faces the most “stringent” conditions she’s ever seen and the case’s publicity offers some protection to the community.
“All eyes are going to be on making sure that any kind of behaviour that she demonstrates that strays from the kind of expected behavior will be caught.”
That said, Samra worries Bourque might go from hurting animals to hurting humans.(hurting humansって、だめだろうそれは!)
“Psychologically it could be that there is this perception of ‘What do I have to lose because everyone thinks I’m going to do this anyways.’”
