メキシコから来た版画アーティストのミニ展示会の紹介です。日本人版画作家ミサヨツツイの展示会が23日-25日ダウンタウンブランツで開かれます。
ワハカは美味しい食べ物やメズカル産地で有名で、美術と版画芸術が発達しました。ミサヨさんは16年目のワハカに住み、版画の巨匠である武田先生の直系弟子として作品活動をしてきました。主に田舎の村の小さな日常や村の住民と自然をこじんまりとした作品に込めてきました。 16年が経ち、彼女の視線は異邦人芸術家の観察ではなく、自分の人生の話になりました。近所の貧しい詩人と版画作家が集まって酔って歌う居酒屋。常連精肉店のおじさん、市場の角に座って、泊で作られたズボンを売る作品の中のおばあちゃんはみんな彼女の友達です。そして路地を歩く子犬と荒涼としたが寂しくない風景が彼の作品に収められました。アルファベット作品シリーズは、メキシコの文化と自然を利用して26文字のアルファベットを形象化し、多くの人気を集めました。 36点の美しい彫刻の絵画をバンクーバーで見ることができます。すべての作品はメキシコのローカル価格で販売されています。
* Bio
Misayo Tsutsui was born in Yokohama, Japan, in 1974. She studied Design at Musashino Art University, then traveled to Oaxaca in 2007, where she studied Plastic and Visual Arts at UABJO. Later, she became general manager of the Takeda Gallery, attached to the EBA of the University Autonomy Benito Juárez de Oaxaca. She is also co-founder of the Burro Press Workshop. Currently, she finds herself interested in the daily life of Oaxaca, where she makes illustrations and prints that are inspired by the people, culture and traditions that she observes daily.

This is an introduction to a mini exhibition by a print artist from Mexico. The exhibition by Japanese printmaker Tsutsui Misayo will be held from June 23-35 in Downtown Blenz.
The state of Oaxaca is famous for its delicious food and mezcal production, and has a flourishing art and printmaking culture. Misayo has lived in Oaxaca for 16 years while working as a direct apprentice to master printmaker Takeda.
In small-sized pieces, much of her art captures the humble daily life of rural villages, the villagers who live there, and the surrounding nature. After 16 years of living there, Misayo’s gaze is no longer the observations of an outsider artist, but rather has become her own life story. The tavern where poor poets and printmakers in the neighborhood gather to get drunk and sing. The people depicted in her work, the neighborhood butcher and the old lady who sits in the corner of the market selling bowls made of gourds, these are all her friends.
Also captured in her pieces are the dogs who saunter through the alleyways and the desolate yet not lonely landscapes. Her series of alphabet works, which represent the 26 letters of the alphabet using the culture and nature of Mexico, have been very popular. A total of 36 beautiful prints can be seen in Vancouver. All works are sold based on the local prices in Mexico.
