Effective November 30, 2021, the travel restrictions to board a flight in Canada have changed. Based on your vaccination status, these changes could impact your upcoming travel plans.
If you’re fully vaccinated a minimum of 14 days prior to entering Canada, and you meet the other travel requirements, no further action is required from you.
If you’re unvaccinated, please familiarize yourself with the following changes:
• For Canadian residents: While quarantine is not required, your trip must terminate at your first point of entry in Canada. To reach your final destination in Canada you must arrange for private transportation at your own expense. This means that you may not be permitted to board any domestic connecting flights that were previously booked. For more details, including how to rebook, please see our flexible rebooking options. Some exemptions apply.
• For foreign nationals: Travel continues for essential purposes only. Until January 15, 2022, unvaccinated foreign nationals will be permitted to travel to their final destination in Canada as long as their connecting travel is scheduled to depart within 24 hours of the departure time of their flight entering Canada.
Thank you,
Air Canada
