My name is Thomas and along with my partner Daniel, we are organizing an event showcasing the talents of two traditional Japanese tattoo artists, one of which was recently featured in a BBC news article. The artists will be visiting Vancouver from Japan for a short time and we are lucky enough to have them for two evenings full of art, discussion, and local craft beer.
The artists will have a QA session during the event and as they do not know English we're looking for someone willing to join us for the evening and volunteer their services as a translator. ArtsXCrafts is a passion project that focuses on intimate and memorable experiences that connects people to artists and masters of the craft beer industry. In order to do that we keep the audiences small and the costs low to ensure that cultural events like these remain accessible.
We're very lucky to be able to host these two amazing artists and sincerely hope that someone from your organization would be interested in joining us for an evening of drinks(on us) and traditional tattooing! We don't make any money doing these events, but we get to engage with people in our community and connect arts & culture with local businesses! Please check out the BBC article and a video from our last event featuring the Japanese art form of Shibari. Can't wait to hear from you!
The event is Nov 21/23 both events will be during the evening and held at Dayton boots in east Vancouver.
