自分のことを何も言わないでこんな大雑把な質問ってある？自分で考えたら分かるんじゃない？

刑務所やなんかって資格必要なんじゃないの？
カナダは凄まじい資格社会。

知人のヨーロッパ人の看護師が、資格取り直す暇がないからと、死体処理でも良いから…って当たってみたものの、ソレすら2年間のコース行って資格取らないとダメだとかで諦めてた。

そういえば、看護師もERとかならホリデイ関係なく働けるね。入院病棟なら掃除や食事作りや雑用の人もホリデイ関係ないね。

いずれにしても、トピ主の元々の質問では資格の有無も学歴も年齢も性別も滞在ステイタスも問題にされていないから回答として間違っていないでしょ。
具体的かつ現実的な回答が欲しいなら、前提条件を書くべきだよね。

ＢＣ州での応募

In order to be considered for a Correctional Officer position, candidates must meet the criteria below and provide all corresponding information.
Must be a minimum of 19 years (copy of birth certificate is required).
Valid BC Driver's License - B.C. license Class 5 required.
Driver's abstract for the last five years - your B.C. driving record lists your licensing transactions and offences over the last five year period.
Valid First Aid (OFA 1) certification.
BC Corrections requires you to be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a landed immigrant in Canada at the time you apply for a position.
Recent colour photograph(s) - passport quality and size.
Recognized high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Learn more about international equivalency.
Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) - police records check, including fingerprints. Please attend your local community police detachment for these documents.
Current Criminal Records Review Act check.
Medical Clearance form signed by physician - this form must be completed in order to take the Correctional Officer Physical Abilities Test (COPAT).
Vision Standards - candidates must also meet a medical standard as set out by the Government Occupational Health Program and the BC Corrections Branch. Part of the overall medical assessment for entry level positions is the requirement to meet a vision standard and colour vision standard.
English Grade 12 with a final grade of 70% or higher or an accepted equivalent. One of the duties of the adult Correctional Officer is to communicate clearly and effectively in writing. It's essential that candidates have the requisite writing skills. To ensure candidates possess the minimum writing standards, the branch requires applicants to submit documentation in support of this requirement.
Correctional Officer Physical Abilities Test (COPAT) - this fitness test evaluates an applicant's ability to meet the physical demands of being a Correctional Officer. The timed test includes an assessment of endurance, agility, mobility and strength.
Medical examination with Occupational Health Programs (OHP) - it's important that the candidate complete tuberculosis (TB) screening prior to their examination by OHP as it serves as a key baseline test and will assist with a timely medical clearance. Candidates are required to bring the result of their TB screening test with them to their medical examination with OHP. As very few family physicians or walk-in clinics have the necessary supplies to perform this screening test, candidates can obtain them from offices such as their local public health unit and some travel medicine clinics. For the medical examinations with OHP, paper hospital gowns are offered, but for comfort and function, candidates should bring shorts and a T-shirt.
Once you submit the above documentation and complete the necessary assessments (scheduled with the recruiting officer), you may be asked to proceed further through the selection process, which will include: a CORNET history search (correctional history of applicant); a background reference check; a medical; computer voice stress analysis; and a panel interview. 「にも」「職」ってとこから、私も職業の話かと思ってて、レス3さんの回答がおかしいって言われてるのはなぜだろうって思いながら読んでた。
クリスマスはともかく一人のサンクスギビングを気にする辺りワーホリじゃ無さそうだし。

それらが単発でできるとも思わないし、祝日は工事やらないし、サービス業もクリスマスは休みが多いと思う。

単発バイトで祝日だけって、なかなか無さそうですね。
