以前、JPさんのどこかの掲示板で確かTDバンクで日本円の口座が開設できるようなトピをみかけ、それを検索しているのですが、ヒットしてこないので、改めてトピを立てました。
TDさんの日本語ホームページには、そのようなことは書かれてないのですし、先日リッチモンドのNO3にあるブランチに行って来たのですが、そのようなものはないと言われました。

前の掲示板の内容をちゃんと覚えてないのですが、あれはトロントでの情報だったのでしょうか？
どなたかバンクーバーで開設可能なところをご存知の方、教えて頂けないでしょうか。

私も以前、ここの掲示板でTD Canada Trust で日本円の口座が開設できると読んだので、興味があってメールで問合わせてみたことがあります。結論からいうと、できるようです。
以下はメールの返信ですが、三か月前の話なので念のためもう一度確認されたほうがいいと思います。参考までに。開いたブランチでないとトランザクションができないみたいなので、私は結局近くにブランチがないので結局口座は開設せずじまいです。

We are pleased to advise that we offer an account for the Yen currency, which can be opened at any branch. Foreign currency accounts allow you to maintain your deposit without the need to exchange to Canadian Dollars which may assist you if you are looking for an account to hold a large amount of another currency

Please be aware that foreign currency accounts are:

* Non-Chequing
* Non-Interest-Bearing Accounts
* No service charges
* No overdraft allowed
* Not eligible for coverage through the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation

There are no opening fees or requirements to hold a particular minimum daily balance on a Foreign Currency Account.

Deposits and withdrawals of Foreign Currency cash are first converted to Canadian Dollars and then converted to the Foreign Currency of the Deposit Account. However, Foreign Currency Cheques, Drafts and Wire payments can be directly deposited to a Foreign Currency account. Foreign currency accounts also cannot be accessed via bank machines, EasyLine or EasyWeb. These accounts can only be accessed by your TD Canada Trust branch.
